Premier League Team of the Week: Bale blasts Blades away

Tottenham forward Gareth Bale put in one of his best performances of the season over the weekend as Spurs defeated Sheffield United 4-0.

Bale (10) earned a perfect 10 FC Rating for his outing, scoring a superb hat-trick to lead our Premier League Team of the Week.

All three of the Welshman's finishes were a superb - a deft touch beyond the keeper, a rasper of a strike into the top right corner, and then a drilled effort into the bottom right corner from the edge of the box.

He was in truly devastating form.

Heung-min Son (8.4) joins his team-mate in the forward line after a cracking outing, as he scored the fourth of the game with a spectacular, curled strike into the top right corner. He was very unlucky to see a goal disallowed by VAR earlier in the match, too. His runs in behind caused chaos for the Sheffield Utd defence all night.

Leading the line in the Team of the Week is West Ham's Michail Antonio (8.9), who scored two as the Hammers kept their Champions League hopes alive with a 2-1 away win at Burnley. He also had more touches inside the opposition box (12) than anyone in this round of games.

Kai Havertz (8.8) scored both goals as Chelsea defeated Fulham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

In the middle of midfield, Fernandinho (8.3) partners Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (8.0).

The Brazilian won 10/15 duels, 4/5 tackles, and completed 84/95 passes for Man City.

The much-criticised Serge Aurier (9,8) is another Tottenham player who features in our Team of the Week as he recorded two assists from right-back for Spurs versus Sheffield Utd.

He had 111 touches of the ball, and misplaced just four out of 86 passes.

At left-back is Everton's Lucas Digne (7.9).

Jonny Evans (8.0) and Lewis Dunk (7.8) partner in the centre of defence.

West Brom have goalkeeper Sam Johnstone (8.7) to thank for the point gained versus Wolves as he recorded an incredible tally of nine saves in the 1-1 draw on Monday.
