No Odegaard, Tierney or Aubameyang - How Arsenal could line up against Fulham

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping to extend his side’s unbeaten run to four games on Sunday, when they welcome Fulham to the Emirates Stadium.

However, any hopes of picking up all three points may have to be tempered by some serious injuries in this Arsenal squad at the moment.

Indeed, while Arteta will be able to call on Bernd Leno in goals, along with Hector Bellering, Rob holding and Gabriel Megalhaes along his typical back four, the Arsenal manager will almost certainly have to task Granit Xhaka with filling in at left-back in the absence of Kieran Tierney.

This will undoubtedly have ramifications in midfield too, where Xhaka has been performing admirably for much of the season. Arteta will be happy to call upon Thomas Partey in the middle of the park but will likely have to turn to Dani Ceballos to partner the defensive midfielder against Fulham. With Emile Smith Rowe playing just in front of the pairing.

With an injury to Martin Odegaard likely to keep the Norwegian talent out of Sunday’s game, Arteta will also likely turn to William to play on the right flank, along with Bukayo Saka to fill in for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who remains in hospital recovering from malaria.

Alexandre Lacazette, with four goals in his last two games in all competitions, will almost certainly lead the line.
