Cristiano Ronaldo had a very quiet afternoon in the Derby della Mole, but still managed to get on the scoresheet as Juventus drew 2-2 with Torino.

Ronaldo had failed to score on his last outing for the Bianconeri, in the 1-0 home loss to Benevento before the international break, and wanted to make amends.

His equaliser in the 80th minute might just have saved Andrea Pirlo from the sack.

Ronaldo, in truth, struggled to get into the game.

Constantly surrounded by Torino defenders Armando Izzo, Gleison Bremer and Alessandro Buongiorno, Ronaldo struggled to break free from the trio, and as Juve lost control of the game and put cross after cross into the box, Ronaldo was massively outnumbered aerially.

Ronaldo did however break free of their shackles, put missed several headers, directing them over the crossbar

⏱️ 80’ However, he did manage to convert one of his chances, getting on to a cross from Giorgio Chiellini, of all players, to head home to rescue a point for the away side.

It looked like the referee may disallow the goal, before VAR was consulted, and the goal was given. It was Ronaldo's 24th goal of the season.

IMPROVEMENT

Ronaldo's display here was an improvement compared to his last Serie A game against Benevento, and despite not featuring heavily in the game, still managed to score a goal. 7.8 FC Rating.

Ronaldo: What Next?

Ronaldo just needs to keep doing what he's doing. Juve's problems are those around the No.7, and not necessarily with the Portuguese superstar.

Juventus are a mess at the moment, but Ronaldo, along with Federico Chiesa, keeping the Bianconeri in the race to make the top four.

Whether he wants to stay in Turin for a final season remains to be seen, but Ronaldo will be a professional until the end of the season, and is currently top of the Serie A scoring charts. .
