Ramos out, Kroos a doubt - How Real Madrid could line up against Eibar

Real Madrid suffered a blow this week with the news that talismanic captain Sergio Ramos could miss up to a month of action with a calf injury.

Ramos was with the Spanish national team over the past couple of weeks, and was eager to continue to build up his caps, which is why he was given four minutes off the bench when Spain were 3-1 up against Kosovo.

It proved to be a major mistake, as he would eventually hurt his calf and feel pain in the warm down.

That means the Madrid captain will miss a batch of La Liga matches plus, crucially, two Champions League quarter-final games against Liverpool.

Nacho will take his place in the starting XI for this one.

Dani Carvajal is still not fully fit which means Lucas Vazquez will probably start at right-back again in the back four alongside Nacho, Raphael Varane, and Ferland Mendy.

Both Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos trained away from the group in the latter park of the week and although they may be fit enough to play, it is unlikely Zinedine Zidane will risk their fitness ahead of the first leg encounter with Liverpool a few days later.

Isco could then come in for a rare start alongside Luka Modric and Casemiro in midfield.

Eden Hazard is still injured so in the front three we should see Karim Benzema supported by Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio.
