Saka still out? How Arsenal could line up against West Ham

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday after Thursday’s 1-0 defeat to Olympiakos in the Europa League.

The London side will be buoyed by their recent derby win over Tottenham Hotspur but will have to be at their very best to beat West Ham on the road. Especially if Arteta is missing a number of key players.

In defence the Arsenal manager will be able to call upon Bernd Leno in goals, with a back four of Kieran Tierney, Gabriel, David Luiz and either Cedric Soares, who is likely to keep his spot over Hector Bellerin.

Similarly, Arteta is likely to stick with his preferred midfield duo of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka, with Martin Odegaard playing in the slightly more advanced No.10 role.

However, the Arsenal manager will perhaps have to get a little creative in attack to deal with injuries to Bukayo Saka and William, who are both expected to miss the clash.

As such, Arsenal will probably end up starting Nicolas Pepe on the right, Emile Smith Rowe on the left and then Alexandre Lacazette through the middle as the club’s No.9.
