Euro 2020 Qualifiers Top Five, Matchday Nine: Thiago, Silva, Kroos all perfect

Admittedly England were playing against one of Europe's weaker sides in Montenegro, but Chilwell's marauding display from full-back proved to one of England's most powerful attacking weapons in their 7-0 victory. The Leicester defender provided three assists and delivered a total of 10 crosses from wide in his position as an auxiliary winger.

Thiago remains one of Spain's most cultured midfielders and though, once again, the opposition in Malta wasn't strong, he was still in a position to utterly dominate proceedings. As well as his 117 completed passes, the Bayern midfielder also provided two assists and was unbeatable in the centre - he won all 11 of his duels, four out of four tackles, and twelve recoveries. Complete.

Silva couldn't take the limelight from Cristiano Ronaldo as he closes in on the international goal record, but he was more impactful than his colleague in the 6-0 rout of Lithuania. Silva scored one and provided another two assists in the match and barely gave away the ball, completing 82 of his 87 passes.

Kroos is fast developing into one of the most complete midfielders the world has to offer as he continues to add goals and danger to his game. Against Belarus no-one had more shots on goal than him (8) and he made his mark, too, bagging two goals and an assist. This was as well as the numbers we would always expect him from him - namely an improbable 123 completed passes.

Gerard Moreno staked a serious claim to be considered Spain's No.1 forward after an excellent attacking display in the win over Malta. His three goals and an assist were pivotal to victory and he notably complimented partner Alvaro Morata well. The Villarreal frontman has been in a rich vein of form and if he keeps this up, it's likely he will be part of the Roja squad for Euro 2020.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Eden Hazard (9.9) and Harry Kane (9.9)

ROUND TO FORGET

Montenegro goalkeeper Milan Mijatovic (4.0) conceded seven rather modest goals to England at Wembley.
