Tottenham 4-1 Crystal Palace Player Ratings: King Kane on song for Spurs

Paul Macdonald

Harry Kane and Gareth Bale were the dynamic duo who tore a poor Crystal Palace team apart in a 4-1 victory.

Kane recorded two goals and two assists in a sublime individual performance, while Bale's two goals showcases his return to form of late.

✔️ Gareth Bale: 9.7

Bale has enjoyed a recent return to form, playing well against Burnley and in the Europa League, and he continued that trend here.

Bale scored the opening goal but his best moment was his second goal, meeting a Harry Kane nod-back across goal to power his header into the net.

Bale's performance was excellent in every aspect. He completed two dribbles, provided four crosses but from a defensive perspective his numbers are also great. He won 8/9 duels, and 3/4 aerial duels as he worked hard for his team at both ends of the pitch.

Bale is playing more and more of a role in Tottenham's side and it all begs the question as to whether he will return for another loan deal from Real Madrid next season.

⭐ Harry Kane: 10

Exceptional. There's no other word for Harry Kane as he completely dismantled Palace in a way only he can.

He got the ball rolling early on, reaching the goal line before finding Gareth Bale with a pacey pullback to give the Welshman a tap-in.

His nod-back across goal then allowed Bale to put Spurs back ahead in the second half, then he whipped a glorious, incredible shot right across the keeper and into the net, in a stunning action.

And his pal Son knocked one across goal in the closing stages for Kane to nod home an easy fourth, his second of the night. It doesn't get much better than this and Kane overall is having a season for the ages.
