Fabinho at centre-back? How Liverpool could line-up against Fulham

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate for a victory against Fulham, as The Reds are on a five-game losing streak in the league.

The Reds are in a wretched run of form. The club's home defeat against Chelsea was their fifth-in-a-row, the worst run in the club's entire history, and the first reigning English top-flight champions to suffer that fate.

Liverpool have suffered yet another injury in defence, with January signing Ozan Kabak having pulled out of the squad.

This means that Fabinho will once again have to deputise in midfield for Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, and Jordan Henderson are all injured.

Fabinho is expected to start alongside Nat Philips, who is back in contention after missing out on the 1-0 defeat against Chelsea in midweek.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will occupy their usual roles at full-back.

In midfield, Klopp is expected to keep the same three that started in the defeat to Chelsea. Thiago, Georginio Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones are all in line to start.

Mohamed Salah came off early against Chelsea, but is still expected to play against Fulham from the start.

Diogo Jota could replace Roberto Firmino in attack. Sadio Mane is also expected to start.
