Werner to start? - How Chelsea could line-up against Luton

Frank Lampard's Chelsea side host Championship Luton Town on Sunday, with the Blues boss needing a resurgence from his team.

Their recent struggles have been well documented, but now sitting eight in the Premier League, behind fellow Londoners West Ham, Lampard's job is under serious threat.

He had hoped by naming a strong team against Morecambe, and winning comfortably, the team would find their feet again, but the 2-0 loss to Leicester on Tuesday night displayed the lack of confidence and desire in the squad.

Lampard needs to do something, and the consensus is that he'll go strong again in the cup, hoping his misfiring Germans find form, and quickly.

Timo Werner has received plenty of criticism since his move to England, and deservedly so, but with Olivier Giroud carrying a knock, and Tammy Abraham starting the defeat to Leicester, he's likely to be given his chance down the middle again.

Hakim Ziyech started on the bench on Tuesday, and so expect to see him off the right flank and Callum Hudson-Odoi off the left.

Faustino Anjorin has been training with the first-team all season, but due to Kai Havertz's lack of form, may miss out again, with Lampard favouring the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker in an attempt to get him firing.

Billy Gilmour was a surprise exclusion against the Foxes, with N'Golo Kante injured, but will surely play against Luton, with Mason Mount in need of a rest following some heroic performances in the past week.

Jorginho divides opinion amongst fans, but with Kante still injured, and Mateo Kovacic lacklustre recently, the Italian may well start here.

Cesar Azpilicueta has had to settle for playing second fiddle to Reece James for the majority of the season, and with the Englishman returning to full fitness, he won't be risked this weekend.

Fikayo Tomori's pending move to AC Milan looks almost set to be completed so he obviously won't be involved, with Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma the likely pairing.

Emerson is the cup left-back, and Kepa Arrizabalaga kept a clean sheet against Morecambe last time out, so will be rewarded with another start.
