Partey set to start - How Arsenal could line-up against Newcastle United in the FA Cup

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side will be fully intent on continuing their impressive turn in form with a victory over Newcastle United set to make it four wins from four for the North London club.

However, Newcastle are no pushovers and Arteta will know that he’ll have to balance his squad out with genuine quality to win the match while also keeping enough in reserve for the Premier League campaign.

With Bernd Leno keeping his spot between the posts and Kieran Tierney at left-back, Arteta will then look to shake things up by welcoming back David Luiz and Gabriel in both centre half positions, along with back-up defender Cedric Soares at right-back.

The big news for Arsenal fans will be the return of Thomas Parte, who is expected to start against Newcastle following an injury. He’ll surely partner Mohamed Elneny in the middle of the pitch.

Arteta has tried his best to play youth players in cup competitions this season, so we should expect to see Joseph Willock and Gabriel Martinelli take up their typical positions in the attacking third while a more experienced head such as Willian may also be offered a chance to once again prove his worth.

Up front Arteta will then look to give some valuable minutes to Eddie Nketiah, following his impressive run in the Europa League.
