Erling Haaland has named his favourite three central defenders in the world in an interview with Norwegian publication Verdens Gang.

The prolific striker has enjoyed a memorable 2020, moving to Dortmund from RB Salzburg and scoring freely both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League.

Haaland's situation means he is the subject of constant transfer speculation and has been heavily linked with Real Madrid this summer, with Los Blancos planning to go on a spending spree after a low-key summer this year.

And the fact that the 20-year-old referenced Sergio Ramos as one of the centre-backs he dreaded playing against the most, is sure to set tongues wagging in the Spanish capital.

Haaland said: "I think the three best centers in the world are Sergio Ramos, [Virgil] Van Dijk and [Kalidou] Koulibaly. All three are very physical, but also very intelligent on the field."

Haaland recently collected the Golden Boy award given to the best young player under the age of 21 in world football, and he has a clear plan for the coming year - to score as many goals as he possibly can.

He added: "I have set a goal for 2021, I want to start scoring and not stop until the end of the season."
