No Hazard, Ramos touch and go - How Real Madrid could line-up against Sevilla

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane will need to decide whether to risk the fitness of Sergio Ramos for this weekend's La Liga clash against Sevilla.

The Madrid captain has been out with a short period due to injury, and although he has stepped up his recovery in recent days, it is unlikely that he will play against Sevilla.

Instead, he is set to be kept as fresh as possible for Real Madrid's crunch Champions League tie against Gladbach next week.

Los Blancos have been boosted by the return of Alvaro Odriozola, who has missed the majority of the start of the new campaign with a muscular issue. With Dani Carvajal near fitness but not quite there, Odriozola could slot in at right-back.

Raphael Varane and Nacho were fairly calamitous at the back in the Champions League loss against Shakhtar, but Zidane will have no other option but to play them again if he decides not to risk Ramos.

Definite absentees are Eden Hazard and Fede Valverde.

A midfield three of Casemiro, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos should start.

Luka Jovic has returned to the squad after testing negative for coronavirus, but would not have started in fully fit anyway.

Karim Benzema will lead the line as always, probably flanked by Marco Asensio and Vinicius Jr.
