Europa League Team of the Week: Pepe and Winks star

This week’s round of Europa League matches was another festival of fantastic goals, assists and performances from across the continent. Here are some of the best ones from some of the best players in the game today.

The best performance on the night went to Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe (9.2), who bounced back from a red card in his previous match against Leeds United to pick up a goal and lead Mikel Arteta’s side admirably in their 3-0 win over Molde.

Alongside Pepe in attack is Tottenham Hotspur striker Carlos Vinicius (9.0), who also used the opportunity to exercise some demons by scoring two goals and assisting a third in his side’s 4-0 win over Ludogorets.

Sparta Prague attacking midfielder, Borek Dockal (8.9), rounds up the front line with two fantastic assists in his team’s 4-1 victory over Celtic.

In midfield Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks (9.0) earns a spot with his goal and all-round performance against Ludogorets.

Similarly, Bayer Leverkusen defensive midfielder Kerem Demirbay (8.8) joins the team with his own goal against Hapoel Beer Sheva, along with Dynamo Zagreb midfielder Arijan Ademi (8.9), following his brace of assists in his side’s 3-0 victory over Wolfsberg.

Leverkusen duo Wendell (8.5) and Tin Jedvaj (8.8) take both full-back positions in the team of the week, following both of their assists in the Bundesliga’s side victory.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim’s Kassim Nuhu (8.4) and Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly (8.5) make up the central defensive partnership, ahead of Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic (7.9) after all three confirmed clean sheets for their sides.
