✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE

Dries Mertens - 7.2:

The Napoli hero displayed all of his technical class with a delightful free kick to double Belgium's lead in the first half. The 33-year-old curled the ball over the wall from 25 yards, leaving goalkeeper Jordan Pickford with no chance. He also created a big chance and had two shots.

BAD PERFORMANCE

Mason Mount - 5.9:

The Chelsea attacking midfielder has been an unpopular choice with supporters of the national team, who believe he is unfairly favoured by manager Gareth Southgate. Mount will have done little to quell the protests after a toothless display versus Belgium. He won no attacking duels and made no recoveries or tackles. He was put out of his misery when he was substituted on 69 minutes.

STAR MAN

Youri Tielemans - 8.3:

Tielemans was the standout player in the match as he pulled the strings impressively in the middle of the park. The 23-year-old opened the scoring with a deflected strike. He also had an 87 per cent pass success rate and chipped in with an impressive five recoveries and four interceptions.
