European respite - How Man Utd could line-up against Basaksehir

Manchester United head into their Champions League clash with Basaksehir fresh off another Premier League disappointment after they were defeated 1-0 at home by Arsenal on Sunday.

The Old Trafford side have now lost three out of their opening six matches of the 2020/21 campaign, but European duties have been a welcome distraction so far.

In their first two group stage matches they impressively defeated PSG away before blowing away RB Leipzig at home last week.

They are looking to maintain their 100% record when they travel to Turkey on Wednesday.

Man Utd have no new injury concerns heading into the Champions League clash, with Eric Bailly still out and Alex Telles unavailable after the former Porto captain tested positive for coronavirus.

With him in isolation, Luke Shaw will start at left-back again.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer witnessed what was probably United's best performance of the season a week ago in the 5-0 rout of Leipzig, so he may opt for a similar line-up against Basaksehir.

Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes didn't start that one, and they could actually be rested again as Man Utd have a key match against Everton this upcoming weekend.

With every passing training session, Edinson Cavani gets closer to match fitness, but he might not be ready for the starting XI quite yet.

Donny van de Beek, dropped again against Arsenal, could be given another chance to impress in European action.
