Ziyech's first start? How Chelsea could line-up versus Krasnodar

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard could finally hand a first start of the season to new signing Hakim Ziyech against Krasnodar in the Champions League.

The Moroccan missed the first few games of the campaign after picking up an injury in pre-season, but even after his recovery he has had to settle for a place on the bench for the last few matches.

Chelsea had been leaking goals prior to the last week before they secured two clean sheets in a row against Sevilla and then Man Utd. The problem is, they didn't score in those two matches either.

So, after setting his team up slightly more defensively, against Man Utd in particular, utilising a back three, he will probably revert to a 4-2-3-1 and go for goals against the Russian side.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Billy Gilmour are the only confirmed absentees, so Lampard pretty much has a full roster of senior players to choose from.

Kai Havertz has come under criticism for his performances recently and could be given a rest, with Mason Mount restored to the starting XI.
