The wait for Ronaldo continues - How Juventus could line-up against Verona

Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo will still be without Cristiano Ronaldo for this weekend's match versus Verona in Serie A.

The Portuguese has already missed two matches for the Bianconeri - a draw against Crotone in the league and a win against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League.

Due to the allocated period of self-isolation, he will miss the Verona match, while he is fighting to be available and fit enough to feature versus Barcelona in the Champions League next midweek.

Like Ronaldo, Weston McKennie is currently isolating and will not play against Verona.

New signing Federico Chiesa enjoyed a debut of contrasting emotions last weekend, as although he recorded an assist, he would later be sent off, leaving him suspended for this one.

That opens up a spot at right wing-back, with Juan Cuadrado likely to be given the nod.

Paulo Dybala's season hasn't got going yet due to a period of isolation himself as well as niggling injuries. There is already speculation that he isn't entirely happy at the club, but that could all be put to bed if he starts a run of matches.

Against Verona would be the perfect opportunity for Pirlo to reintroduce him into the starting XI.

Giorgio Chiellini had to be taken off 19 minutes in against Dynamo Kyiv, with that injury still being assessed. He will likely lose his place in the starting XI to Merih Demiral.
