Sancho to return - How Dortmund could line-up versus Hoffenheim

Jadon Sancho is set to return to Dortmund's starting XI this weekend when Lucien Favre's side take on Hoffenheim away from home.

The 20-year-old missed the German Super Cup match versus Bayern and the league win against Freiburg due to illness, but was well enough to come off the bench for England against Belgium and Denmark respectively, albeit for a combined 18 minutes.

With those minutes under his belt, he should be reestablished into the starting XI versus Hoffenheim.

Favre has some issues at the back with Marcel Schmelzer, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Manuel Akanji all out injured, which could lead to a change in formation, although it is more likely that veteran Lukasz Piszczek will come into the three-man defence.

Jude Bellingham should start in midfield alongside Axel Witsel, while Raphael Guerreiro will be deployed on the left of the midfield four as Thorgan Hazard is still out injured.

With Sancho returning, it is likely that Marco Reus will be the player to make way in the attacking areas, with Giovanni Reyna tallying up a hat-trick of assists in the victory versus Freiburg.
