Real Madrid won't make any signings, Zidane confirms

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that the club will not be making any signings during this transfer window.

Zidane shuffled his side and formation and his side were able to claim all three points with a hard-fought 3-2 victory at Real Betis on Saturday.

But Eden Hazard remained unavailable and is struggling for fitness, while the club have been more focused on outgoings in a window where they have been able to offload the likes of Sergio Reguilon, James Rodriguez and a chunk Gareth Bale's salary from his loan move to Tottenham.

But Zidane will not be given any of those funds to strengthen his team, and he confirmed this after the Betis victory.

He said: "There won't be signings in the week that remains of the transfer window."

Real Madrid have been heavily linked with moves for the likes of Kylian Mbappe from PSG and Erling Haaland from Dortmund, but it is thought that they are saving their spending for next summer, when more clarity around finances post-pandemic is available.
