How Bayern could line-up versus Hoffenheim

The Bayern train keeps on going.

On Wednesday, the Bavarian side added another trophy to their collection this year after they defeated Sevilla 2-1 after extra-time in the European Super Cup.

That means they have accumulated a quadruple which already included the Bundesliga, the Champions League, and the DFB-Pokal.

Unfortunately for the rest of Germany, they are showing no signs of slowing down even at the start of the new campaign.

In their opening game of the season last weekend, they demolished Schalke 8-0 with Serge Gnabry scoring a hat-trick. In that fixture, the former Arsenal winger displayed a frightening cohesion with new signing Leroy Sane which is ominous for the rest of the teams in the Bundesliga.

Add Robert Lewandowski in the middle and Thomas Muller in the number 10 role, and you're looking at the current most potent attacking forward line in the world.

Hansi Flick has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Hoffenheim clash, though Kingsley Coman is still doubtful as he recovers from a period of isolation after contracting coronavirus.

Lucas Hernandez, not Alphonso Davies, has started Bayern's last two matches at left-back, but the latter could be introduced back into the starting XI on Sunday.

The rest of the line-up should be 'as you were' from the Super Cup win over Sevilla.
