Right from the opening whistle, the big Swede looked sharp and hungry.

Eleven minutes in he came close to opening his account for the season with a wonderful turn and strike inside the penalty area which looked destined for the bottom corner. Unfortuntely for the hosts, Takehiro Tomiyasu intervened to deflect it round the post.

⏱️ 35' Ten minutes before the break, he would eventually claim a deserved goal, latching on to a teasing Theo Hernandez cross to divert a commanding header into the bottom right corner.

⏱️ 51' Six minutes after half-time, he doubled his tally with an emphatically taken penalty into the top right corner.

Ibrahimovic: What Next?

Zlatan turns 39 in a couple of weeks, but is certainly not showing his age with performances like this. Even in his advancing years, he is still proving to be Milan's main man up top.

This Thursday, the Rossoneri take on Bodo/Glimt in a Europa League qualifier.
