A deal has been agreed between Liverpool and Wolves for the £45m transfer of Diogo Jota.

Up until the last couple of days, the Premier League champions had been relatively quiet in the transfer market, with Greek defender Konstantinos Tsimikas the only recruit over the summer.

However, they have stepped up their recruitment this week as yesterday they announced the signing of Thiago from Bayern for £20m.

Now, they are set to make their third major transfer of the window with the purchase of Jota from Wolves.

In a separate deal between Liverpool and Wolves, the latter will sign defender Ki-Jana Hoever for £10m.

Jurgen Klopp has been keen to bolster his forward line this summer, with starting trio Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah already backed up by the likes of Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.

Last season in the Premier League, Jota scored seven times and recorded one assist.

He currently holds a 82 FC Rating.
