Bayern boss Uli Hoeness brands David Alaba's agent 'a money-grabbing piranha'
Bayern supremo Uli Hoeness has stressed his desire to keep David Alaba at the club, but aimed ire at the player's agent, branding him 'a money-grabbing piranha'.
Despite winning the treble with Bayern last season, Alaba has been linked with a move away from German football, with the likes of Barcelona looking to make an offer.
Teams in the Premier League, such as Manchester United and Liverpool have also been monitoring the situation but so far no movements have been made.
Speaking publicly, Hoeness claimed that the club wanted to retain the Austrian's services but that outside influence is playing a part in the player's decision.

He said to Sport1: "Alaba has a greedy piranha as an adviser.
"It’s really all about the money. Alaba is currently playing for the best club in the world, where should he go?
"It is a difficult situation. A while ago we agreed on a new four-year contract. Some days later he said: 'I'm looking for a new challenge.' Which is totally okay.
"I think he obviously has an agreement with Liverpool or Manchester United or both of them. Now both clubs are bluffing, and no one has contacted Bayern Munich officially.
“From my point of view, that has no style. They're trying to blackmail us, by waiting until the last week, when they're going to make a cheap offer.
"In that case FC Bayern have to ask themselves the question: do they want to go along with that or do they tell the player that he has to stay.
Alaba is represented by Pini Zahavi and his current deal at Bayern is thought to be worth £13m per season.
