Bale set for Premier League move as Madrid to pay 50% of wages
Gareth Bale could be set for a sensational return to the Premier League in a loan deal as Real Madrid have agreed to continue to pay 50% of his wages.
Over the past year 18 months the Wales captain has fallen out of favour in the Spanish capital, with him very nearly moving to the Chinese Super League at the beginning of the 2019/20 campaign.
That move fell through, but since then he has been continually linked away.
However, Bale and his representatives have made it clear that the player has no intention of leaving while he remains on his reported £600,000 a week salary - the highest of any player at the club.

Due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, no club can currently afford to take Bale on loan with those wages.
That has subsequently led to Real Madrid offering Bale to teams in the Premier League with the promise that they will continue to cover £300,000 a week's worth of his wages for the duration of any loan deal, according to the Telegraph.
Jose Mourinho wanted to sign Bale while as manager of Manchester United, and it is believed that he still remains interested in a deal as manager of Tottenham, whom Bale left to sign for Real Madrid initially.
The 31-year-old currently has two years left on his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Either a return to Tottenham or a loan to Manchester United could be an option for Bale, with the latter seeing him as an alternative to Jadon Sancho should they fail to sign the Englishman from Dortmund.
