Wijnaldum on Barcelona transfer: I can't say anything
Georginio Wijnaldum has refused to rule out that a move to Barcelona could be possible, telling journalists that 'he can't say anything' on the transfer.
Wijnaldum is with the Netherlands national side ahead of their Nations League matches, their first fixture following Ronald Koeman's decision to leave to join the Spanish giants.
Speculation has risen that Koeman wants to make the Liverpool midfielder his first signing and there are suggestions that the player is open to a switch.
And when asked by the waiting media today what the situation is, Wijnaldum said simply: "They are just rumours, at the moment I can't say anything.
"I thought you were going to say that I can be a pillar of the Dutch team. If you ask me about the Oranje, I can answer."
Barca are thought to be lining up a £20m bid for the 29-year-old, who has been a key component of Jurgen Klopp's Champions League and Premier League-winning side.

Wijnaldum also commented on Koeman's departure from international football to return to his former club, adding: "The team regrets that he left, but we are happy for him.
"If you do that as a player, you are in the same situation. We have to move on."
The Dutch face Poland on Friday before playing Italy on Monday, both matches in the Nations League format.
