PSG: We are never going to sell Neymar or Mbappe

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says the club have no intention of selling Neymar or Kylian Mbappe following the pair’s starring performances against Atalanta in the Champions League.

For 90 minutes of the match against the Serie A side, it looked like it would be another disappointing outing for PSG in the Champions League, with them losing 1-0 heading into injury time.

However, the introduction of Mbappe changed the game, as he complimented Neymar to open up space for the Brazilian, who would play a key part in PSG scoring two goals in injury time to win 2-1, with Mbappe assisting the winner.

Transfer speculation has never been far away from the pair, with Neymar constantly rumoured for a return to Barcelona, while Mbappe has been strongly linked with a transfer to Real Madrid or Liverpool at some point.

With a semi-final berth now secured, though, Al-Khelaifi has taken the opportunity to warn any potential suitors the pair aren’t for sale.

“Neymar and Kylian are among the best players in the world,” the PSG president told RMC Sport after they beat Atalanta on Wednesday.

“Neymar was the man of the match, he had a great game.

“We found Neymar, he made a big difference in the team. I felt something special. ‘We want them to extend [their contracts], yes of course.

“We are never going to sell them, they will stay, I’m sure.”

PSG will face the winners of Atletico Madrid versus RB Leipzig in the semi-final of the Champions League next week.
