Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to rotate his squad for the game against Aston Villa following their Europa League game in Rome on Thursday.

United lost on the night but advanced to the final of the Europa League, where they will face Villarreal in Gdansk.

Solskjaer will likely rotate his team with a tough schedule of three games in five days on the horizon, following the rescheduling of their postponed Liverpool game

David de Gea started against Roma, but could drop to the bench for Dean Henderson. Solskjaer is likely bring back Victor Lindelof for the game against Villa, as he was rested for Eric Bailly.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are likely to retain their places in the full-back positions. Harry Maguire will partner Lindelof in central defence.

Fred and Scott McTominay will probably be the chosen central midfield duo in the double pivot.

Juan Mata could be handed a rare start in one of the attacking midfield positions, with Mason Greenwood dropping to the bench.

Mata could be joined alongside Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

Edinson Cavani will likely be rested following his heroics in both games against Roma, with the former Napoli striker scoring four goals across the two legs.

Marcus Rashford will likely replace Cavani as the lone striker.
