Tierney still out? How Arsenal and Tottenham could line up in North London derby

Both London clubs should be able to call upon relatively full-strength squads for Sunday's Premier League derby

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are two teams in desperate need of a win and as such Sunday’s North London derby should hopefully provide the stage for an exciting Premier League encounter.

What should also add to the occasion is the fact that both teams will be able to put out, more or less, full-strength sides in order to try and win the derby.

For Mikel Arteta, the only real issue in his Arsenal side may come at left-back, where Kieran Tierney remains a doubt for the all-important home game on Sunday.

However, reports in England are sounding more optimistic about his chances of starting the game, which would be a huge boost for Arsenal.

Similarly, the return of Granit Xhaka in midfield should also provide some much-needed stability in the middle of the park, while Emile Smith Rowe may also step into the side’s attacking trio.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, Nuno Espírito Santo will also be hopeful of putting out a full-strength side on Sunday with very few omissions from his preferred starting XI.

Ryan Sessegnon and Steven Bergwijn are both still out with injury, but Lucas Moura should return to the bench for Spurs on Sunday.

Elsewhere, we can likely expect Oliver Skipp to return to a starting role in place of the inconsistent Tanguy Ndombele.

The London club will also be hoping another week of training will provide some much-needed recuperation for Harry Kane, who has yet to really get started this season.
